Recorded fully remotely, in their debut album “Onwards and Upwards,” Finding Amelia shows us what is possible when art and connection are the driving force.
Singer-songwriter Zoe Boekbinder’s career has been a road full of twists and turns. With the release of their most recent project “Wildflower” (April 2024), Zoe shares how a devastating hurricane led to a cross-continental relocation and an album packed with authenticity. By telling their story and giving platforms to marginalized communities, Zoe aims to see gender inequality and transphobia eradicated from the music industry.
Launching a project right before a pandemic and the subsequent process came with setbacks and unexpected gifts, but it ensured singer-guitarist Jackson Roemers, bassist Fabian Angel and drummer Nate Mangold of StrateJacket had all the experience they needed to finally release their first EP this May.

When taken in its entirety, “Levees” feels like a journey through the peaks and valleys of life. Wild Youth, an up-and-coming indie-pop band emerging from Ireland, has been consistently delivering singles that deserve a space on all our spring and summer playlists. Their latest single, “Champagne Butterflies”, is a wonderfully crafted upbeat tune, using vibrant guitar with an energetic sound.
Beautiful Places is the latest dreamy release from the four-piece Chicago-based band Fauvely. Inspired by an assortment of musicians such as John Frusciante, Orville Peck and John Prine, the album presents itself as a pop-focused, melody-driven project with softer folk elements.
Listening to “My Book (Demo)” is like finding a letter left inside a library book. It’s intimate. You shouldn’t be reading it, but when you do, you don’t feel so alone. Parrish’s haunting vocals ebb and flow with a smooth piano track, matching Yost’s raw lyrics.

Ryan never moved from his seat and the audience stood in silent, rapt attention for a full hour. It became clear that this was not your average audience either. The room was full of not only Ryan’s fans, but his friends and colleagues.
The American Bollywood tour stopped in Nashville for one ethereal night July 14 at Ascend Amphitheater.
On the night of the release of his album “BOY,” JORDY graced The Basement East stage with his fabulous presence. His energy and range provided the perfect match to open for Spencer Sutherland. The combination created an environment of kindness, acceptance and a dang good time.

In one sense, the record embodies exactly what you would expect from an alt-pop group in 2023– a short intro track that flows seamlessly into the body of the album filled with existential dread and tech-heavy texture. On the other hand, “Lost In Translation” diverts from what we’ve come to expect from the genre in terms of summer bops.
Nashville’s rising music indie and rock scenes embody the youthfulness that more established artists strive to maintain. That night at The End, was a celebration of that youth, evidenced by an energy that you don’t often find in arenas and stadiums.
