The four-piece garage rock band, The Candescents have just released their first music video and it is a DIY masterpiece. Signing with Dirty Hit in 2017, the band has been on a constant rise much like the labels biggest names, The 1975 and Wolf Alice. Following their three month North American tour with Pale Waves, the band put out their music video debut for the song ‘Drink to Paradise’ as a tribute to the shows they played and places they visited.

Filmed and directed by Aysia Marotta, the video blends clips of live performances and snippets of the bands antics while touring, and it’s all overlayed with psychedelic effects and 90’s-esque jump cuts that feel so effortlessly cool. The simplistic style of video really shows that the band doesn’t need to rely on theatrics to show off their talent, instead they let their energetic performances and fun personalities take the spotlight, and boy does it work. The video contains so many great live moments that you have to re-watch to catch them all.

‘Drink to Paradise’ is a perfect music video debut, and according to the comments under their Vevo channel, very beloved by their fans. Since the band is at its beginning stages, this video is the perfect advertisement to get new fans to come see the bands dynamic act for themselves, and the catchy song will surely be added to many peoples playlists. After watching this we can hardly wait to see what new content the band has in store for us next.
